A graduation card with their name, in their school colors
Whether it is a high school, college or kindergarten graduation, a card with the graduate's name and a few proud words means a lot. Pick a design close to their school colors, type the name and message, and download the card. There is no sign-up, no watermark and nothing is uploaded: the card is drawn in your browser.
The card is a 1024 × 1536 pixel PNG in a 2:3 portrait shape, the size of a 4 × 6 inch photo print. Text it, email it, post it with your congratulations, or print it and tuck it into a graduation gift with a check or gift card.
What to write in a graduation card
Short, proud and personal works best. Some ideas to adapt:
| From | Message idea |
|---|---|
| Parents | We are so proud of you and everything you worked for. The world is lucky to have you. |
| Grandparents | Watching you grow has been our greatest joy. Congratulations on this big day! |
| Friend | You did it! Can't wait to see what you do next. Let's celebrate soon. |
| Aunt or uncle | Congratulations, graduate! Wishing you success and happiness in everything ahead. |
| Teacher or mentor | It was a privilege to see you learn and grow. Congratulations and best of luck. |
| Kindergarten graduate | Hooray, big kid! On to first grade, we're so proud of you. |
Tips for a great graduation card
Keep the Greeting short, like "Congrats, Grad!" or "Class of 2027", so it stays large; longer text is shrunk to fit. Use the graduate's first name on its own line in a script font, and put the school, degree or class year in the message.
Dark designs (black, navy, maroon, green) start with gold text and light ones with navy or purple, so the words stay readable. With your own photo, try white text first: light text gets a soft shadow that keeps it readable on a busy picture.
