How to use
- Pick the month and year, upload a photo for the top half, and add a line such as your family name.
- Under Your dates, add birthdays, appointments and events; each one is circled on its day. Turn US holidays on or off, choose Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week, and pick a color.
- Click Print (Letter) to print the page, or Download PNG to save it. Change the month and repeat for a whole year; your dates are remembered.
A custom calendar with your own photo
A month on the fridge with a favorite photo and everyone's plans on it is still one of the easiest ways to keep a family organized. This maker builds a full US Letter page (8.5 × 11 inches): your photo across the top, the month and year, an optional line like "The Johnson Family", and a grid with your marked dates and the holidays.
Everything is drawn in your browser, so the photo is never uploaded and there is no sign-up or watermark. The page is 1700 × 2200 pixels, 200 dots per inch at Letter size, sharp enough for home printing.
US federal holidays in 2027
With holidays on, the calendar shows federal holidays and popular days such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and Halloween on their actual dates. When a federal holiday falls on a weekend, the day off moves:
| Holiday | Date | Day off (observed) |
|---|---|---|
| New Year's Day | Fri, Jan 1 | Same day |
| Martin Luther King Jr. Day | Mon, Jan 18 | Same day |
| Presidents' Day | Mon, Feb 15 | Same day |
| Memorial Day | Mon, May 31 | Same day |
| Juneteenth | Sat, Jun 19 | Fri, Jun 18 |
| Independence Day | Sun, Jul 4 | Mon, Jul 5 |
| Labor Day | Mon, Sep 6 | Same day |
| Columbus Day | Mon, Oct 11 | Same day |
| Veterans Day | Thu, Nov 11 | Same day |
| Thanksgiving | Thu, Nov 25 | Same day |
| Christmas Day | Sat, Dec 25 | Fri, Dec 24 |
Printing tips
In the print dialog, choose Letter paper, portrait, and turn off any "fit to page" scaling if your printer adds a border twice. Plain paper is fine for a fridge calendar; for a gift, use matte photo paper or cardstock around 65–110 lb, which most home printers handle from the rear tray.
Pick a photo that is wider than tall, since the photo area is a wide rectangle and a tall picture gets cropped at the top and bottom. Dark, busy photos print darker than they look on screen, so a bright, simple picture usually looks best.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a calendar for the whole year?
Yes. Make one month, print or download it, then switch to the next month and change the photo. Your marked dates and settings stay, so it takes a minute per month.
Are my dates saved?
Yes. Your dates, color and settings are saved in this browser on this device. Each date belongs to its month and comes back every year, like a birthday. Photos are not saved.
Can the week start on Monday?
Yes. Choose Monday under Week starts on. Sunday is the default, as on most US calendars.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The calendar is drawn in your browser and the photo never leaves your device.
